I had the pleasure of spending 4 or 5 hours on this Weeping Mulberry. Historically the bottom of the canopy had been sheared every year, with no attention to other portions. This let the canopy become on opaque mop with an unnaturally linear bottom. Making scores of small cuts created windows to the interior and lightened the overall feel, revealing the hidden structure within and transforming a mop into a cascade.
Skilled Pruning can feel like magic; there may be no obvious signs of intervention, yet the specimen is wholly transformed.
