About the event
Join ISA Certified Arborist Alec Baxt for this free workshop discussing how trees grow, what makes them structurally robust and how to fend off common problems through early intervention. Feel free to bring hand pruners, non-powered pruning saws and trowels.
Improving the structure of young trees through pruning can increase their longevity and minimize long-term maintenance. Common structural failures - even those resulting from severe weather - often happen at preexisting defects formed early in a tree's life. These problem can often be nipped in the bud in a tree's youth, even by homeowners using basic hand tools. This event is FREE, with no registration required! This event begins on the West side of the trail at Country Club Drive.
